The Keys

The Brockley Key has been around for a while, going back to 2006. Since it was painted, stickers have been popping up almost everywhere and now two new Keys have appeared in San Isidro, Patricio’s hometown.

The location was an abandoned port on the River Plate, where boats would dock to unload sand into these buildings, known as areneras. Recently, control of the port changed hands, meaning it’s now undergoing renovation.

One of the two Keys is our first proper anamorphic painting. It was lovely to paint above the bus terminal, with all the drivers looking up is disbelief. We have now heard the news that the building will become a Museum of Argentine Contemporary Art, which is amazing. The only question is whether or not they will keep our artwork…
