Sunflowers for Change
The Sunflower Project in New Cross, in collaboration with Grow Wild and Goldsmiths ran from 2013 to 2015.
The A2 is one of the most busiest, polluted roads in London, so we thought of an antidote which would help bring people, bees and birds together to create smiles and add some much needed food and natural areas. The project brought different community groups together, along with a few local primary schools who helped start the plants in their playgrounds so they could be transplanted into position later.
